Who would’ve thought that pizza on the grill could be so easy? This weekend my husband and I wanted to make our usual homemade pizza with the kids (I’m not gonna lie it was a bit crazy this weekend so we bought store bought crust and Hannafords has a great gluten free crust) But the kids like to put their own toppings on and it’s a fun activity. Except, when I have to heat my oven to 450 degrees and this leads to the entire house heating up on an already 95 degree day! Instead we purchased a pizza stone made for the grill (don’t put your pizza stone on the grill it will crack under the high direct heat). The cooking time for each pie was about 10 minutes and they were delicious. Below find my recipe for a veggie gluten free pizza.
1 gluten free crust (I used hannaford gluten free pizza crust)
1 cup mozzarella
½ zucchini sliced
1 onion sliced
¼ cup sliced black olives
1 tsp butter
Salt and pepper
½ cup marinara sauce
Heat your oven on high and place pizza stone in for 30 minutes. While this is heating roll out dough and place Marinara sauce and mozzarella on top of dough.
Next in a pan heat butter and place onion and zucchini salt and pepper. Saute until onions are translucent. Place zucchini and onion mixture on top along with olives. Cook on pizza stone for 10 minutes.
