I hope everyone saw my instagram feed yesterday of my freezer peach jam! It is delicious and great on bread. Recently my family and I went on a trip to Barton Orchards and went peach picking. I had a whole bowl of peaches that we did not eat so I thought instead of wasting why not make jam.
Most people can jam after they make it but I have such a large extended family that After I’m done making it there is none left to save once everyone gets a jar. If you don’t have a large family than canning is always an option. I hope you enjoyed this recipe as much as I did.
4 cups peaches, peeled and mashed
3 cups sugar
12 tbsp pectin
Juice of one fresh lemon
1 ½ cups water
Peel and mash peaches. Add lemon juice and sugar. In saucepan add water and pectin. Cook until boiling. Stirring constantly for one minute. Add to peach mixture. Let cool for 8 hours than place in jar. This jam keeps in freezer for 3 months or refrigerator for 3 weeks.
