Poughkeepsie, NY-May 24, 2016—Digestive Disease Center of the Hudson Valley, the region’s leading Gastroenterology Group, will launch a new support group for people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), beginning Tuesday, June 7th, at 5:30 pm at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital’s Conference Room A.
Theresa Zangerle-McArtin, RD, CDN is a New York State Certified Dietitian and Nutritionist, who will facilitate the discussion.  People of all ages are welcome.
“We want to support those who have been diagnosed with IBS by offering the latest science-based information as well as by offering the encouragement of others with the disorder,” says Zangerle-McArtin.
Irritable bowel syndrome affects between 25 and 45 million people in the United States. Most IBS sufferers are female.  Symptoms include pain or discomfort in the abdomen and changes in bowel patterns.
