Anita Gupta, M.D. believes no complaint or symptom is too small

Dr. Anita Gupta is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist. As a child growing up in India, she noticed there was a severe lack of female physicians in the medical field. With her supportive family behind her, Dr. Gupta was inspired to become a doctor as a role model to other young girls who hoped to seek a career in medicine.

After much deliberation in choosing her specialty, Dr. Gupta was attracted to Internal Medicine, as it requires a “holistic approach to mental and physical wellbeing of the patient.” She believes it is critical to connect to a patient’s “story,” and that providing good and complete care requires a detailed knowledge of a patient’s medical background. She hopes her patients know that she is always available to consult on even the smallest of complaints.

When she isn’t treating patients, Dr. Gupta loves to travel, and finds joy in immersing herself in other cultures, new places, and cuisines. She believes every child should have equal educational opportunity, and runs a volunteer group to support education for underprivileged children in India in her spare time.
