I was recently speaking with a co-worker who reported that she was paying upwards of 8 dollars for a smoothie in the morning. A smoothie drinker myself I started to think of how much money a day that this could potentially add up to as well as the added sugars that can be in these smoothies as well.
On a trip to the mall I tried one of our local smoothie establishments to find that they were adding sugar water to a fruit and spinach smoothie. Further investigation into other smoothie establishments showed that not only was sugar water being used but also juice as well as Stevia and other artificial sweeteners! If a drink that is supposed to be healthy has added sugar or juice in it this nutritional professional feels that it should be placed back on the shelf.
That is why my week of smoothies for under $25.00 is not only nutritionally beneficial, it is also beneficial for your budget. Leaving the extra baggage in your wallet not your waistline! The great thing about the items below is that they can be used elsewhere in the house
