Thomas Castiglia, M.D. believes that Family Practice is a commitment to a lifetime of learning

Dr. Thomas Castiglia is a Board Certified Family Physician with Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine, and a member of both the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. In choosing his specialty, Dr. Castiglia gravitated toward the one that offered him the greatest “breadth of knowledge” and the opportunity to provide longitudinal care for his patients over time. As a medical student, he had heard that specialists are not always free to continue learning the fundamental lessons that primary care physicians encounter daily; it was this idea that motivated him to choose Family Practice.

In treating his patients, Dr. Castiglia encourages them to be active participants in their own health care, to stay informed, and to get some exercise both physically and mentally every day. Outside of work, he enjoys running, tennis, hiking, watching movies, and reading science fiction.
