I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the Medical field when my father was diagnosed with cancer. Witnessing the care that he received was gratifying beyond words. He was treated with compassion, and given exceptional care, which made me want to provide the same care for others. I chose family medicine because I wanted to help keep people well and help educate people about their overall health. I want to be able to explain disease processes and medications that may be used to treat them.
I like to connect with my patients by spending time listening to them and truly hearing their concerns. I feel that we are all human and have experiences that we can help one another with.
When I am not working, I love to travel with my family and just be together, playing board games, or in the warmer weather, enjoying the outdoors. You will find us playing volleyball in the yard, or on the road traveling to their many activities they are involved in.
My advice to my patients, Love yourself, and be good to yourself. Always make sure you are being heard.
I earned my MSN degree from Mount Saint Mary College, a BSN from Misericordia University, and a BA in Communications from the University of Albany. I am welcoming patients to see me in the Hopewell office.
